If you have lost a Dog

If you have lost a dog, please contact your local Police Department or local Animal Control Officer to see if anyone has reported one found.  The Shelter office is open M-Th 9-2 and Fri-Sat 9-1.  In order to reclaim a dog who has been brought to the Shelter, we require proof of current rabies and proof the dog is licensed with the town you live in.  The dog will need to be updated on his rabies vaccine and town license if not current.  There is a $20.00/day fee for all dogs brought into the Shelter.

If you have found a dog

If you have found a dog, please contact your local Police Department or Animal Control Officer and they can arrange to take the dog to the Shelter.  The Shelter will make every effort to locate the dog's owner.  If no owner comes forward, the dog will be held for 7-10 days and then placed up for adoption.  All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before being placed for adoption.
